Itinerary
Home to grand mansions, shady plazas, bookshops, boutiques and foodie-approved restaurants, historic Coral Gables is just a 15 minute drive from the airport and offers a world of luxury and relaxation.
Day 3 Coral Gables to Key West
Pick up your car this morning and drive the over water bridges of the scenic Florida Keys to Key West. The diverse bars, restaurants, history and plantation style architecture create a unique and lively island atmosphere.
Day 4 Key West
Explore the cool and unique places of Key West from restaurants once frequented by Ernest Hemingway, to the Southernmost point of continental USA. End the day watching the sun set over Mallory Square.
Day 5 Key West
Visit the colourful Old Town or try a slice of Key Lime pie before taking a catamaran tour in search of local, playful dolphins.
Day 6 Key West to Marathon
Wind your way back up the Keys to the community of Marathon.
Day 7 Marathon
The waters here are teeming with marine life, so get out on, or under, the water to discover the impressive aquatic world.
Day 8 Marathon to Naples
Start early today, drive through the Everglades National Park to Florida’s beautiful Gulf Coast.
Day 9 Naples
With tree-lined streets and designer boutiques on stylish 5th Avenue, Naples is ideal for enjoying the finer things in life.
Day 10 Naples to Sarasota
Drive north to chic, arty Sarasota.
Days 11-12 Sarasota
Blending city and beach, Sarasota’s dining, markets and museums mix with nature reserves and beautiful beaches. Learn about local marine life at the inspiring aquarium and join a guided kayak tour through the mangroves. End the days with a refreshing sundowner on the beach.
Day 13 Sarasota to St Pete Beach
There’s time to visit the Ringling Museum for circus history before driving to the artsy St Pete Beach.
Days 14-15 St Pete Beach
This laidback town has plenty to do. Discover one of the many excellent museums or head to Honeymoon Island, or Caladesi Island, both just a short drive away. Be rewarded with pristine beaches, forest trails and sightings of tortoises and eagles.
Day 16 St Pete Beach to Tampa
Your trip ends today, at Tampa airport.
