New Orleans & Memphis by Rail

Days 1-3  New Orleans    
Fly to New Orleans, famous for its delicious Creole cuisine and iconic Mardi Gras festival. Known as the birthplace of jazz, take an exciting tour to explore the historic French Quarter, with the vibrant Bourbon Street at its heart. As you head between hidden local music venues to street performances, you will learn the fascinating history of this diverse city.  

Day 4  New Orleans to Memphis    
Hop aboard Amtrak’s City of Orleans train and travel northbound for Memphis.  

Days 5-6  Memphis    
Renowned for its significant place in music history, Memphis is a lively city with many sights to be explored over the next couple of days. Take a city tour to visit the ducks in the iconic Peabody hotel, pass through lively Beale Street and see historic Victorian homes. Make a stop at Sun Studio, where legendary singers Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and BB King all recorded their tracks. To learn even more about the ‘King of rock’n’roll’ venture out to Graceland, the famous mansion which Elvis once called home.    

Days 7-8  Fly home
