Itinerary

Days 1-2  Atlanta
Fly to dynamic Atlanta and pick up your car. Georgia’s state capital is home to a great downtown district with an array of attractions.

Day 3  Atlanta to Nashville
Head north to Tennessee and break your journey in Chattanooga where you can take a ride up Lookout Mountain on the world’s steepest incline railway or route via Lynchberg and visit the iconic Jack Daniel’s Distillery. Continue on and arrive in legendary Music City USA.

Days 4-5  Nashville
Uncover Nashville’s music heritage at the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Johnny Cash Museum. In the evening, enjoy the city’s creative culinary scene before catching a live music show at the Grand Ole Opry or dancing the night away in the honky-tonks of Broadway.

Day 6  Nashville to Bowling Green
A short drive across the border into Kentucky takes you to the charming city of Bowling Green. Visit the National Corvette Museum, where one of America’s most iconic cars are manufactured. Visit the nearby Lost River Cave and take a boat trip through this natural wonder.

Day 7  Bowling Green to Louisville
Explore the incredible Mammoth Cave National Park before continuing on to Louisville, home to the world-famous Kentucky Derby.

Day 8  Louisville
Discover the life and legacy of Louisville’s most famous son at the Muhammad Ali Center and see the world’s largest baseball bat at the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. In the evening, enjoy a mint julep cocktail or challenge yourself to complete the city’s Urban Bourbon Trail.

Day 9  Louisville to Lexington
Drive past rolling hills covered in bluegrass, a lush meadow grass which grows on Kentucky’s fertile soil, to ‘the horse capital of the world’, Lexington.

Day 10  Lexington
Visit the Kentucky Horse Park, a fantastic horse farm which also has a museum, shows and demonstrations. Just south of the city is Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill – a restored Shaker community and National Historic Landmark. Or why not go to one of Bourbon County’s many distilleries for a tour and tasting of America’s only native spirit.
