Canyon Spirit Rockies to the Red Rocks (Denver to Salt Lake City)

Day 1  Canyon Spirit        
Embark on an unforgettable three-day rail journey as you board the luxurious Canyon Spirit in Denver, Colorado. Heading west past the engineering marvel of the Big 10 Curve, you will traverse the remarkable Moffat Tunnel across the Continental Divide. Admire the magnificent scenery as you follow the Colorado River through Byers and Gore Canyon. As you approach the Upper Colorado River, keep your eyes peeled for the array of wildlife that call Glenwood Canyon home. Finish your day in Glenwood Springs where you will spend the night at a hotel.

Day 2  Canyon Spirit        
Today, head southwest through desert vistas and red cliffs. The rugged terrain of De Beque Canyon will surround you, most notable for its unique stair-step layered cliffs. Afterwards, you will pass through the striking red Book Cliffs which mark the transition from Colorado to Utah and feature the geological landmark of Mount Garfield. Approach the gateway to Utah’s national parks, Moab, where you will spend another night in a hotel.

Day 3  Canyon Spirit        
Wake up and enjoy a morning at leisure exploring the scenic town of Moab. Board the Canyon Spirit for the final time and wind through the last of the Book Cliffs, passing the ghost town of Castle Gate and into the stunning Price Canyon. Entering the beautiful Wasatch Mountain range, you will cross the Soldier Summit via a series of horseshoe curves known as the Gilluly Loops before taking in the deep reds and otherworldly sandstone stacks that make up Red Canyon. Meander through the historic Thistle Tunnels and the quaint town of Spanish Fork, the oldest Icelandic settlement in the United States, before ending your incredible adventure in Salt Lake City.
