The Grand Circle - Iconic Desert National Parks

Days 1-3  Las Vegas  
Fly to Las Vegas, where you will spend the next few nights ahead of your national parks adventure. Marvel at the extravagant themed hotels and casinos, venture to the impressive Hoover Dam and witness the Sphere. In the evenings, take advantage of the various shows on offer, such as the incredible Cirque du Soleil.      

Days 4-5  Las Vegas to Zion NP  
Today, collect your car and make the 2½ hour drive to the first natural wonder on your route – Zion National Park. It is home to mighty canyons, forests and amazing ‘hanging gardens’ which cling to the sides of its cliffs. This bird-watchers paradise is also home to Californian condors.      

Days 6-7  Zion NP to Bryce Canyon NP  
Continue through Utah to Bryce Canyon, where multicoloured layers of rock – from flaming orange to the palest pink and white – form spectacular cliffs. Hike a multitude of trails or join the local rangers on their late night star gazing tours.    

Day 8  Bryce Canyon NP to Lake Powell
Enjoy spectacular scenery and awe at the hoodoos of Bryce Canyon as you drive to Page, on the shores of Lake Powell.  

Day 9  Lake Powell      
A vast lake with 2,000 miles of shoreline, boasting jaw dropping scenery. Perhaps, take a tour to see the remarkable and colourful Antelope Canyon and head to nearby Horseshoe Bend’s iconic U-shape created by the meandering Colorado River.      

Days 10-11  Lake Powell to Monument Valley      
The famous towering red buttes and mesas of this Navajo reservation land have featured in many Western films. Take the 17 mile scenic drive past these individually named pinnacles, marveling at this incredible geological wonder, before arriving into Monument Valley.  

Day 12  Monument Valley to Grand Canyon NP      
Drive to the Grand Canyon, nothing can prepare you for the seemingly endless sweep of this incredible National Park. On your first evening, find a vantage point for sunset and watch as the shadows lengthen and the desert rocks appear to change colour with each passing second.  

Day 13  Grand Canyon NP      
Why not discover the true scale of this wonder from the air by taking a helicopter trip over, and into, the Grand Canyon? Afterwards, take a hike down into the canyon along Bright Angel Trail but remember that, however far you walk down, it’s the same distance back up!  

Day 14  Grand Canyon NP to Las Vegas      
Return to the bright lights of Las Vegas for a final night to finish your trip in style.  

Days 15-16  Fly home
