Days 1-2  Los Angeles  
Fly to Los Angeles, the City of Angels, and pick up your car on arrival. Experience classic Los Angeles glamour as you browse in designer shops along the famous Rodeo Drive or hit the trendy restaurants of West Hollywood. Perhaps watch a sports game in downtown LA, visit the iconic Hollywood & Universal Studios or enjoy the rides at Walt Disney’s original theme park. For some relaxing beach time visit the fabled Santa Monica and Long beach and soak up the sun.  

Day 3  Los Angeles to Santa Barbara  
Drive to pretty Santa Barbara, set between the Santa Ynez Mountains and the sparkling ocean. Often referred to as ‘The American Riviera’ for its pristine coastline and Spanish-style mansions that offer a distinctly Mediterranean charm. Discover sandy beaches, cool boutiques and upscale restaurants.    

Day 4  Santa Barbara to Monterey  
Drive along scenic Highway 1, past quaint seaside villages and the dramatic cliffs of the magnificent Big Sur before arriving into the wonderful coastal town of Monterey. Famed for its whale watching, this is a must on any visit to Monterey, whilst a visit to nearby Carmel offers charming streets with beautiful galleries and excellent restaurants.  

Day 5  Monterey to San Francisco  
Enjoy the scenic drive to San Francisco, one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities. San Francisco offers visitors a huge mix of things to do, however, the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge and notorious Alcatraz, a former prison located on an island, are some of the city’s most popular attractions.  

Day 6  San Francisco  
Ride the iconic cable cars and try a taste of San Francisco’s famed clam chowder. Visit Union Square for fabulous shopping and lively Fisherman’s Wharf with its fun-filled Pier 39 and wealth of restaurants. Join a hop-on hopoff bus tour to visit Lombard Street and the giant trees of Muir Woods.  

Day 7  San Francisco to Yosemite NP
Yosemite National Park is simply breathtaking. Watch waterfalls thundering from towering peaks into forested valleys. With an overnight stay here, make the most of your time, enjoying peaceful mornings and evenings surrounded by wildlife and without the day visitors.  

Day 8  Yosemite NP  
Spend the day hiking, biking or spotting wildlife, surrounded by its famed Giant Sequoias.  

Day 9  Yosemite to Death Valley NP  
Drive through the striking desert scenery of Death Valley, witness the crusty salt flats and hidden wildlife. With such dramatic landscape, it became a popular filming location, featuring in movies such as Star Wars and Spartacus.  

Day 10  Death Valley NP to Las Vegas  
Shimmering into view, the unique Las Vegas skyline rises from the desert promising extravagant casinos, themed hotels and acclaimed theatrical shows.

Day 11  Las Vegas  
Enjoy this legendary city of glittering neon lights and non-stop entertainment. Head out to explore the famous Las Vegas Strip, a line of distinctive hotels, shops and restaurants that snakes through the otherwise low rise sprawl of this desert city. Away from the Vegas Strip, perhaps head downtown to ‘old Vegas’ to see the neon lights of Fremont Street or venture on a once-in-a-lifetime helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon.  

Day 12  Las Vegas to Palm Springs  
Drive south through desert mountains and the striking Joshua Tree National Park to the oasis city of Palm Springs. Unwind by the pool with a cocktail or take the Aerial Tramway up the San Jacinto Mountains.    

Day 13  Palm Springs to San Diego
Drive to San Diego where you will enjoy delicious, authentic Mexican food, the lively Gaslamp Quarter and long sandy beaches in this remarkably diverse city.    

Day 14  San Diego  
Today, why not take a trolley tour to get your bearings, visit splendid Balboa Park or soak up the atmosphere of the colourful Old Town.    

Days 15-16  Fly home
