Day 1  Los Angeles  
Fly to Los Angeles and pick up your car. Make your way to your hotel and spend the rest of the day settling into the relaxed Californian lifestyle.      

Days 2-3  Los Angeles
Explore LA’s famous attractions from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Rodeo Drive to laidback Santa Monica beach.

Day 4  Palm Springs  
Leave the City of Angels behind and drive to the desert oasis of Palm Springs.

Day 5  Palm Springs
Today, perhaps soak up the views of the rugged San Jacinto Mountains from the Aerial Tramway or explore the rugged landscape of Joshua Tree National Park.

Day 6  Phoenix    
Traverse the desert scenery arriving in Phoenix, Arizona for a couple of days of relaxation or exploration in this cosmopolitan city.  

Day 7  Phoenix
Today explore sunny Scottsdale, home to hundreds of golf courses and upscale shopping. If you're looking to chill out after your first few days of adventure, perhaps take advantage of one of the many spas on offer.

Day 8  Phoenix to Grand Canyon NP      
Drive north and stop for lunch in the charming red rock town of Sedona, before continuing onwards to world-famous Grand Canyon.      

Day 9  Grand Canyon NP      
The south rim of the canyon boasts spectacular panoramic views of this vast natural wonder. There’s a range of hiking trails from easy to challenging, or why not treat yourself to a thrilling sightseeing helicopter flight?      

Day 10  Grand Canyon NP to Monument Valley      
Journey onwards to Monument Valley where the remarkable and distinctive rock formations provide some of America’s most dramatic scenery that you’ll surely recognise from numerous films.      

Day 11  Monument Valley to Lake Powell      
Next stop is wonderfully scenic Lake Powell where 2,000 miles of shoreline await.    

Day 12  Zion NP      
Cross the border into Utah and be wowed by Zion’s jaw-dropping scenery of canyon cliffs and verdant greenery against rugged red rocks.    

Day 13  Zion NP
Today, explore one of Utah's oldest national parks. Go for a hike through one of its fabulous trails, and remember to keep looking up, as the park is home to some of the most unusual hanging gardens in the world.

Day 14  Las Vegas      
Leave behind the natural splendour of Zion and head to the man-made wonder that is Vegas.

Day 15  Las Vegas
Today is at leisure to enjoy this unique city’s opulent hotels, neon lights and endless entertainment.

Day 16  Las Vegas to Death Valley NP      
Head over the border back to California, and on to the intriguing vistas of Death Valley National Park, full of otherworldly desert badlands.      

Day 17  Death Valley NP to Yosemite NP    
Continue north all the way to famous Yosemite. Marvel at its awe-inspiring landscapes and unforgettable beauty.

Day 18  Yosemite NP      
Admire the huge granite peaks of El Capitan and Half Dome, wander beneath towering sequoia trees and seek out beautiful waterfalls in this splendid national park.      

Days 19  San Francisco      
A final drive takes you to vibrant and diverse San Francisco. Drop off your car and explore the city on foot and public transport.

Day 20  San Francisco
Home of Alcatraz and the impressive Golden Gate Bridge, explore bustling 'San Fran'.

Days 21-22  Fly home
Wave goodbye to this cool city and make your way to the airport for your overnight flight home.
