Napa & Sonoma Wine Country Discovery

Day 1  San Francisco to Santa Rosa  
Pick up your car in San Francisco and drive over the iconic Golden Gate Bridge towards wine country. Stop en route for a wander around pretty Sausalito and then break for lunch in the delightful fishing village of Bodega Bay. Carry onwards through the patchwork of vineyards and rolling green hills towards vibrant Santa Rosa. Admire the historic downtown and drop by one of the many wine tasting rooms.  

Day 2  Sonoma Valley  
Santa Rosa makes a great base for exploring the laidback wineries and beautiful vineyards of the lush Sonoma Valley. Head north to discover the vineyards of the picturesque Wine Road or visit the charming town of Sonoma in the heart of the valley. With over 400 wineries in Sonoma County you’ll be spoilt for choice.  

Day 3  Santa Rosa to Napa  
Today, drive to Napa; this upmarket town sits on the Napa River and is renowned for its food scene almost as much as its famed wine. Visit sophisticated wine rooms or head out into the valley to seek out beautiful hillside vineyards.  

Day 4  Napa Valley Wine Train  
Leave your car behind and board the vintage Napa Valley Wine Train as it winds its way through the vineyards and wineries of this world-renowned region. Enjoy a gourmet lunch on board the train before returning to Napa itself and exploring the many gastronomic delights on offer in this affluent town.  

Day 5  Napa to San Francisco  
Have a leisurely final morning in wine country before heading back to San Francisco for your onward journey.
