Days 1-3  San Francisco  
Fly to San Francisco, where cable cars trundle along the steep hills taking you from bustling Fisherman’s Wharf to colourful Chinatown. Stay at the creative 4★+ Hotel Emblem which takes its inspiration from 1960s counterculture.  

Day 4  San Francisco to Carmel-by-the-Sea

Day 5  Monterey

Day 7  Santa Barbara  
Blessed with sandy beaches and glamorous atmosphere, it’s no wonder Santa Barbara is so popular. Explore the picturesque Old Mission or cycle the oceanside bike path.  

Day 8  Santa Barbara to Death Valley NP  
Venture inland for one of America’s most remarkable national parks, Death Valley. Your oasis in the desert is the historic 3★+ The Inn at Death Valley.  

Day 9  Death Valley NP  
Otherworldly landscapes filled with sand dunes make up this stark but hauntingly beautiful park.    

Day 10  Death Valley to Palm Springs  
On your way south, break your journey with a stop at Calico Ghost Town before continuing to the classy 4★ Ingleside Estate Hotel & Bungalows ‐ this historic hotel is a welcome retreat in the centre of Palm Springs.  

Day 11  Palm Springs

Drop off your car at Los Angeles airport in time for your flight home.
