Itinerary

Day 1  Denver      
Fly to Denver and pick up your car.    

Day 2  Denver to Grand Junction      
Journey through the Rocky Mountains and visit the natural hot springs at Glenwood Springs.    

Day 3  Grand Junction to Moab      
Take the scenic Route 128, past canyons and towering monoliths, to the adventure town of Moab.    

Day 4  Arches NP      
Explore stunning Arches National Park, famed for its enormous stone arches.    

Day 5  Moab to Salt Lake City      
Travel north through Utah’s stunning red rock landscapes towards Salt Lake City.  

Day 6  Salt Lake City      
Founded by the Mormons in 1847, this fascinating city is home to Temple Square and the beaches of Great Salt Lake.    

Day 7  Salt Lake City to Idaho Falls      
Drive to Idaho Falls, via the lunar landscape of Craters of the Moon National Monument.    

Day 8  Idaho Falls to Jackson      
Drive on to Jackson, famed for its Wild West atmosphere, wooden sidewalks and saloons.

Day 9  Jackson to Yellowstone NP
Pass through magnificent Grand Teton National Park with its iconic mountains and natural beauty.    

Day 10  Yellowstone NP      
Marvel at the Old Faithful geyser, a wonderland of wildlife and geology.  

Day 11  Yellowstone NP to Cody      
Named after William ‘Buffalo Bill’ Cody, this small town boasts the captivating Buffalo Bill Center of the West and nightly rodeo shows in summer.    

Day 12  Cody to Sheridan      
Drive by the Bighorn National Forest to Sheridan, an appealing Western town.    

Day 13  Sheridan to Rapid City      
Go via the Black Hills of Dakota and its tales of the Old West and walk the streets of Deadwood, a town made famous by Wild Bill Hickok before arriving into Rapid City.    

Day 14  Rapid City      
Visit the carved presidents at Mount Rushmore and take a side trip to the sparse yet striking beauty of Badlands National Park.

Day 15  Rapid City to Cheyenne      
Visit Fort Laramie – an important historic battle site. Continue to the rodeo town of Cheyenne.

Days 16-17  Fly home      
Drive back to Denver and drop off your car in time for your flight home.

Additional Options: Why not travel on the Canyon Spirit train from Denver to Moab and collect your car in Moab instead?
