About the villa

Villa Lumina consists of two distinct yet harmoniously connected spaces: a spacious two-story main house and a charming single-story guest bungalow. 

The villa’s interiors are a seamless blend of contemporary design and natural materials, creating an ambiance that is both stylish and inviting. The open plan living area in the main house is bathed in natural light thanks to large glass doors that connect the indoors with the outdoors. Comfortable seating areas invite guests to relax, whilst the fully equipped kitchen is a chef’s dream, complete with modern appliances and sleek countertops. A spacious dining area provides the perfect setting for sharing meals while enjoying views of the olive grove.

Together, these two buildings offer five beautifully appointed bedrooms, each designed with comfort and sophistication in mind. The bedrooms feature plush bedding, ample storage, and large windows that frame views of the surrounding landscape. Each room is equipped with air conditioning and heating to ensure year round comfort, while en suite bathrooms add a touch of privacy and convenience.

The single story guest bungalow offers additional privacy and flexibility for larger groups. It features its own living space, bedrooms, and amenities, making it ideal for extended family members or friends who want their own retreat within the villa.

Step outside into the expansive outdoor paradise, where the beauty of Crete’s landscape takes centre stage. The villa’s private swimming pool is the highlight of the outdoor area. Surrounding the pool are comfortable sun loungers for soaking up the Mediterranean rays and shaded seating areas where guests can unwind.

The villa’s 7,000 sqm olive grove provides not only privacy but also a deep connection to nature. Wander through this serene landscape or simply enjoy its beauty from one of the many outdoor seating areas scattered around the property. The al fresco dining area is perfect for enjoying meals together, accompanied by the gentle sounds of nature. 

Villa Lumina is ideally located to offer guests easy access to some of Crete’s most captivating attractions while still providing a peaceful retreat away from it all. Just a short drive away lies Chania, one of Crete’s most charming towns. Here, guests can explore cobblestone streets lined with boutique shops selling handmade goods, dine at traditional tavernas serving authentic Greek cuisine, or take a leisurely stroll along the picturesque Venetian harbour as fishing boats bob gently in the water.

For beach lovers, Crete’s coastline offers an array of pristine beaches with crystal clear waters perfect for swimming, snorkelling, or simply relaxing on golden sands. Popular spots like Falassarna Beach and Balos Lagoon are within easy reach and provide unforgettable seaside experiences. Nature enthusiasts will be drawn to the nearby White Mountains (Lefka Ori), which offer incredible hiking trails that wind through gorges, forests, and rugged peaks with awe-inspiring views at every turn.
