Our fly drive from Johannesburg to Durban was our best family holiday with plenty to keep our lively kids busy. From the Apartheid Museum and Soweto in Jo'burg to horse riding, white water rafting and battlefield tours at Spionkop and Rourke’s Drift – we were not short of a variety of things to do. Of course, safaris with roaring lions and a host of game at a luxurious lodge was also a highlight!

Zanzibar is a perfect paradise to relax in after your family safari adventure. There's plenty to see and do (National Park, Butterfly Park, sunset cruises, snorkelling and the fascinating history of Stone Town), but also plenty of space to just stop, soak up the sun and enjoy some well deserved R&R.

Cape Town definitely has no shortage of amazing beaches but Boulders Beach in False Bay offers something extra special – a colony of African Penguins! The only place in the world where you get close to them, watch as these smartly dressed creatures waddle along the shore.
